International mobility company inDrive has launched its ride-hailing services in Makkah, strengthening its presence in Saudi Arabia and giving residents and visitors another option for everyday transportation.

With the launch, Makkah becomes the third Saudi city where inDrive operates, following its services in Jeddah and Riyadh. The company said its expansion into the holy city is aimed at making daily travel more convenient for both local residents and the large number of visitors who arrive throughout the year.

Arsen Tomsky, founder and chief executive officer of inDrive, said the move into Makkah reflects the city’s unique role as a destination for people from around the world.

The launch adds a global ride-hailing platform to Makkah’s growing transportation network, particularly as the city continues to receive visitors for Umrah, Hajj and other religious journeys.

Beyond passenger transportation, inDrive operates a wider range of mobility and delivery services. Its offerings include rides, delivery services, furniture transportation, and the movement of luggage and other goods.

Globally, inDrive serves more than 1,200 cities across 47 countries. Its platform is built around connecting customers with service providers for different transportation and delivery needs.

The company’s entry into Makkah also comes as Saudi Arabia continues to develop infrastructure and services supporting residents, tourists, pilgrims and other visitors. Improved transportation options remain an important part of accommodating the city’s year-round movement of people, including new transport services connecting visitors with Masjid al-Haram.

For passengers in Makkah, the arrival of inDrive provides an additional ride-hailing option alongside existing transportation services, while the company gains access to one of Saudi Arabia’s most internationally visited cities.

The expansion further strengthens inDrive’s footprint in the Saudi market and adds Makkah to its growing network of cities across the world.
