Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah said work on the next Hajj season launches before the current Hajj 2026 finishes.

The process begins on the 12th of Dhul Hijjah (May 29, 2026) with meetings between heads of Hajj affairs offices and companies that serve pilgrims. A full roadmap for the following season takes shape while the current Hajj is still underway.

He spoke at a dialogue session held Wednesday at the third Health and Security Forum in Jeddah, organised by the General Administration of Medical Services at the Ministry of Interior.

A Hajj Projects Management Office operates under the Guests of the Most Merciful Programme, beneath the Supreme Hajj Committee and direct supervision of the Makkah Region Emirate. It collects operational plans from more than 60 government bodies.

These include over 600 individual plans tied to Hajj operations. The office aligns them so efforts stay coordinated and free of clashes.

The minister said all parties now work as one team under the Supreme Hajj Committee’s follow-up and the leadership’s directives.

The goal is the same across every agency: serve the guests of the Most Merciful and let them perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind.

From the previous season, the ministry has set a detailed timetable-based plan in coordination with 78 countries.

The plan covers smooth movement at the holy sites, housing in Makkah and Madinah, transport, catering, and flights. Regular remote meetings with Hajj affairs offices track readiness and rollout.
