- Temperature management solution addresses one of Hajj’s most challenging environmental conditions
Saudi authorities have implemented new technology umbrellas at Masjid Namira in Arafat to protect Hajj pilgrims from intense sun exposure.
These advanced shading structures represent the latest development in pilgrim welfare infrastructure at this Hajj location.

The umbrellas provide critical shade during the standing at Arafat (Wuquf), one of the most important Hajj rituals that takes place on the 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah.
Pilgrims spend hours in the open area surrounding Masjid Namira, where temperatures frequently exceed 40°C (104°F) during the pilgrimage season.
