This supplication is authentically recorded in Sahih Muslim 713a.

Arabic:
اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ

Transliteration:
Allahumma iftah lee abwaba rahmatik

Meaning:
O Allah! open for me the doors of Thy mercy.

Why is this Dua Significant?
