Makkah, Saudi Arabia — The green barriers that previously obscured the view of the Kaaba from the rooftop have been removed.
This change allows worshipers and visitors to experience a clear view of the Kaaba while performing prayers or reflecting from the elevated sections of the mosque.
Previously, the green screens, installed for logistical and safety reasons, partially blocked the view, limiting the spiritual ambiance of the rooftop prayer areas.
The rooftop, which accommodates thousands of worshipers during peak times, has undergone extensive renovations to ensure safety, accessibility, and comfort.
Worshipers have welcomed the change, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to pray with a direct view of the Kaaba.
Recent projects at the Grand Mosque include expanded prayer spaces, advanced crowd management systems, and improved accessibility for elderly and disabled pilgrims.
