King Salman, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has issued a royal decree appointing four new imams to lead prayers at Islam’s holiest sites.

The announcement was made by Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, the head of the Presidency for Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.

The decree names Sheikh Badr Al-Turki and Sheikh Al-Waleed Al-Shamsan as new imams of the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Muhammad Barhaji and Sheikh Abdullah Al-Qarafi have been appointed as imams at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.

This decision is part of ongoing efforts to maintain the spiritual leadership at the Two Holy Mosques, ensuring the highest standards for leading the millions of worshipers who visit these sacred sites annually.
