Social media platforms have been flooded with demands for the series to be removed from YouTube, with critics arguing that it undermines Islamic values.
One notable figure in the backlash is Maria B, a well-known fashion designer and activist. She vocally criticized the series, stating, “They took out everything that is Haram and made a series out of it.”
The series is sponsored by Zee5, which is known for creating bold TV series with nudity and foul languages with the Pakistani cast.
As a result, various groups and individuals in Pakistan have called for a boycott of the series and its actors.
