Hiring for various positions in Makkah, Madinah, and Jeddah for Hajj 2024 has started.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has started its seasonal hiring for the upcoming Hajj 2024 in Makkah, Madinah, and Jeddah.
Individuals can apply for jobs online as well.
As per the Ministry, applications will not only be accepted for Saudi citizens but also Muslims living in different parts of the world. However, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has not yet announced the number of vacancies for the different posts.
The Ministry is hiring for the following positions:
- Engineer
- Driver
- Mechanical Technician
- Hajj Controller
- Customer Service Representative
The last date to apply for the job and serve the pilgrims is 24th February 2024.
Moreover, it has been stated that the applications for Hajj 2024 for Saudi citizens and Muslims residing in different countries have started.
Individuals can choose from the Hajj packages as per their budget and convenience. The packages range from SR4,099 to SR13,265, however, they do not include transportation costs to and from Makkah by land or air.
Hajj is an obligatory Islamic duty that Muslims who can afford it physically and financially must perform at least once in a lifetime.
Individuals have the opportunity to either pay the full price at a time or pay the price in three installments, with the following deadlines:
- The first installment must be paid by the 1st of Ramadan which is 20%.
- The second installment of 40% must be paid by the 20th of Ramadan.
- The third installment of 40% must be paid by the 20th of Shawwal.
As per the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the holy sites will only be allocated to groups on a first come first basis and not based on countries.
With the high amount of applications, the Ministry has informed the individuals who intend to perform Hajj to register themselves as soon as possible by following all the instructions and guidelines issued.
It is worth noting that the number of Hajj pilgrims in the year 2023 was 1.8 million which is expected to increase this year as the pandemic comes to an end.
