“Muhammad” Ranked As The Netherlands’ 2nd Most Popular Name in 2022

Data released by the Dutch Social Insurance Bank show that the name was given to 671 baby boys born in the Netherlands last year.

According to a new study from Statistics Netherlands, the name Muhammad will be the second most popular name for a newborn boy in the Netherlands in 2022.

It was reported by the Dutch Social Insurance Bank (SVB) on Thursday that Noah, with 871 of the top namings for newborn boys, was also a name based on faith last year, while Emma was the full name for newborn girls, with 677 names.

The name Muhammad, when combined with the various spellings of the name, came in second place among baby boys’ names with 671 variations.
