A Muslim girl in India has become a topic of discussion after a video of her confronting a Hindu right-wing mob in Karnataka went viral on social media.
In the video, the girl identified as Muskan Khan is seen bravely shouting the Islamic slogan, Allah hu Akbar, in response to a crowd of men wearing saffron scarves shouting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ as they bullied her for coming to campus wearing the burqa.
Muskan, who is in her second-year commerce study at Mandya, explained that she was about to go to college to turn in an assignment when the incident happened. However, some people were not allowing her to go to college because she wore a burqa.
And as she came out of the college, the bullies told her to remove her burqa while starting to shout ‘Jai Shri Ram.’ That’s when Muskan bravely fought back by shouting ‘Allah Hu Akbar.’
Since Muskan’s heroic actions and bold stance against the mobs of saffron scarves in the Saffron Scarf Vs Hijab line spread on social media, the ‘Allah Hu Akbar’ she shouted against the crowd’s chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ became a trending topic across Asia.
“Allah Hu Akbar” has become a Twitter trend in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and several other countries where people show tremendous support and love for Muskan’s heroic stand against Islamophobia.
Muskan said that her parents were worried about her after her video went viral. But she said that she was not afraid and would follow the court order.
She also clarified that her college allows students to wear the burqa outside of class, and inside the class, wearing a hijab is also allowed. She added that those who bullied her were from outside.
