In 2022, masks and social distancing are mandatory at the Two Holy Mosques

Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and Masjid an Nabawi in Madinah, From 2022 onwards, visitors will require masks and physical distancing beginning at 7:00 am. Sheikh al-Sudais made the rules the Mandatory on Wednesday.
