Waseem Rizvi Who Urged To Change Quran Becomes Hindu

Former Chairman of the UP Shia Waqf, Waseem Rizvi, who urged to change the Quran, now converted to Hinduism.

Former Uttar Pradesh Shia Waqf  Board Chairman Waseem Rizvi officially quit Islam and converted to Hinduism on Monday.

Rizvi converted to Hinduism with the help of Swami Yati Narsinghanand, the head priest of the Dasna Devi temple in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Narsinghanand explained that Rizvi would change his name to Jitendra Narayan Singh Tyagi after the religious conversion.

In an interview with India Today TV, Rizvi said that he was removed from Islam and was targeted with the prize money on his head increased every Friday. But starting today, he is embracing Sanatan Dharma.

Meanwhile, All India Hindu national president Swami Chakrapani Maharaj defended the decision of the former Muslim cleric, saying Waseem Rizvi’s decision to accept the Hindu Sanatan Dharma teachings is welcomed by All Indian Hindu Mahasabha and Sant Mahasabha.

He added that Waseem Rizvi Sahab had become part of the Hindu Sanatan, and no fanatic should dare to issue a fatwa against him. Not only that, but he also argues that the central and state governments should provide him with proper security.

The threat to Waseem Rizvi’s life allegedly came after he submitted PIL to the Supreme Court to request the abolition of several verses from the Quran which he believed taught violence. But of course, his request was quickly rejected by the Supreme Court.

Not only that, but Rizvi also sparked controversy by releasing a book whose contents allegedly depicted the Prophet Muhammad with a bad image.

Shortly after the controversy and threats posed by his actions, Rizvi recorded himself on a video saying that he did not want to be buried but wanted to be cremated following the teachings of the Hindu religion. He also stressed that he wanted his body to be handed over to his Hindu friends Mahant Narsinghan and Saraswati from the Dasna Temple when he died. He wanted him to light the pyre.
