Ministry of Islamic Affairs of Saudi Arabia has Cuts Short Friday Prayer by 15 minutes in all Mosques in Saudi Arabia due to Coronavirus.

Dr. Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, Ministry of Islamic Affairs has ordered a few temporary measures related to Salah as a part of protecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from the Coronavirus outbreak.

These orders also include the fixing of the duration time between the first adhan (call for prayer) and the Iqamah (second call for prayer) to 10 minutes in all mosques all over Saudi Arabia, Including Masjid al Haram and Masjid an Nabawi.

On twitter, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs published a statement on Monday, that the Minister of Islamic Affairs has ordered to conduct the Friday sermon and prayer within 15 minutes, and the imams should not exceed this time.

Among the direct orders from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, it was also mentioned to put stop to the iftar meal preparation and stopping worshipers to do Itikaf and removing dates and food as well as cups used for water drinking from places where people gather for Salah.
