The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah today announced that Umrah visas issued to international pilgrims have surpassed 190,000 since the start of the 1447 AH season.
The season officially began on 14 Dhu al‑Hijjah 1446 AH, when visa issuance went live on the Nusuk digital platform.
“Our goal is to provide seamless, paperless services to the Guests of God,” said a Ministry spokesperson. “Early data shows strong global demand, thanks to improved procedures and the unified Nusuk app, which now handles both visa issuance and permit booking.”
Visas became available in tandem with Umrah permit issuance on 15 Dhu al‑Hijjah via Nusuk—Saudi Arabia’s all‑in‑one e‑service for pilgrims. The app allows users to schedule their Umrah slot, obtain their visa, and access a suite of digital tools including multilingual guidance, crowd‑level updates, and real‑time notifications.
This performance builds on the successful Hajj 1446 AH season, which saw integrated operations, upgraded technical infrastructure, and higher service efficiency.
In preparation for Umrah 1447 AH, the Ministry coordinated with health, security, and transport authorities to expand digital awareness campaigns and multilingual support.
