The news of Vikrant Massey’s brother converting to Islam has gained widespread attention. In a recent interview, the famous actor of the 12th Fail movie spoke about the religious diversity in his family. He further discussed the impact of this diversity on his life and the story of his brother’s conversion.

Massey revealed that his elder brother, Moeen, chose to follow Islam when he was 17 years old. He said that his family accepted his brother’s decision and told him, that if he find satisfaction in this, then he may go ahead. He added that this decision was a landmark in his family’s journey.

Massey’s parents have different religions as well. His father as informed is a loyal Christian who goes to church regularly, while his mother is a follower of the Sikh faith.

Massey shared some stories from his childhood, where he witnessed many conversations and arguments on religion and spirituality. He remembered how his father faced criticism from some relatives for his brother’s decision, but he always supported his son and said that it was a personal matter. This experience inspired Massey to explore religion on his own and wonder about its nature and origins.

Massey also expressed his admiration for Hindu traditions and informed that at some points he believes in them. He explained that he celebrates cultural festivals like Diwali, but it is more out of nostalgia and upbringing than strict religious adherence.

It is worth noting that Massey’s popularity increased at the time when he was enjoying his professional success with ‘12th Fail‘, a film directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, which explores the struggles of UPSC aspirants, based on real-life stories.

Massey has also some exciting projects in the pipeline, such as the much-awaited sequel of ‘Hassen Dilruba’ and ‘The Sabarmati Report’, where he will co-star with Ridhi Dogra and Raashii Khanna under the banner of Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures.

Massey’s interview offers a glimpse into the complexities of personal belief systems and cultural identity in a diverse and dynamic society.
