These are the 5 people our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) forgave;

1. Thumama Ibn Uthal

Thumama Ibn Uthal killed a group of Prophet’s companion in response to a letter he received inviting him to Islam.

He was captured but then released by the Prophet (PBUH). Thumama Ibn Uthal, after realizing that he was forgiven for his mistakes, he then embraced Islam.

2. Safwan Ibn-Ummayah

Safwan Ibn-Ummayah was involved in a plot to kill the Prophet (PBUH). Safwan Ibn-Ummayah also fought against Muslims many times. But after the conquest of Makkah, he was pardoned by the Prophet (PBUH) which led him to accept Islam.

3. Abu Sufyan Sakhr Ibn Harb

Abu Sufyan Sakhr Ibn Harb led military campaigns against the Prophet (PBUH) and also tried to kill him on many occasions. After the conquest of Makkah, he accepted Islam and was forgiven by the Prophet (PBUH).

4. Wahshi Ibn Harb

Wahshi Ibn Harb killed the beloved uncle of the Prophet (PBUH) during the battle of Uhud. Although it was a personal matter to the Prophet (PBUH), he forgave him after he repented and later accepted Islam.

5. Hind Bint Utbah

Hind Bint Utbah ordered the killing of Hamza, the uncle of the (PBUH) and also mutilated his body after he was martyred. However, she accepted Islam after the conquest of Makkah and was forgiven too by the Prophet (PBUH).
