The Saudi authorities have started issuing visas to more than 1.2 million pilgrims for the Hajj 2024. Kingdom is fully prepared to welcome hajj pilgrims, says Saudi officials visa media reports.
Saudi committee in charge of housing the pilgrims in the holy Makkah has also licensed 1,860 buildings to accommodate 1.2 million pilgrims.
Hajj 2024 will fall between Friday, June 14, and Wednesday, June 19 depending on the sighting of the moon.
According to Saudi Hajj Minister Tawfiq Al Rabiah, the issuance of visas will start from March 1 and will continue till April 29, 20th of Shawwal.
Saudi Arabia also announced the guidelines for the upcoming Hajj 2024 season and emphasized the importance of early preparations.
As per these guidelines, there will no longer be any specific allocations for countries at the holy sites in Saudi Arabia during the new pilgrimage season.
