- Ramadan 1447 AH (2026) will occur in the winter season in Saudi Arabia.
- Daily fasting hours are projected to be a moderate 12 to 13 hours.
- The cooler climate is expected to enhance comfort during spiritual practices.
The holy month of Ramadan in 2026 (1447 AH) is set to fall within the winter season in Saudi Arabia, bringing shorter fasting days and favorable weather.
Saudi astronomical expert Abdullah Al-Mosned has forecasted that daily fasting hours across the Kingdom will range from approximately 12 to 13 hours.
This shift contrasts with previous years when Ramadan occurred during hotter months, resulting in longer, physically demanding fasts.
The shorter duration and pleasant winter climate will significantly improve comfort and spiritual focus during fasting and Taraweeh prayers.
The official start date will be confirmed by the traditional sighting of the Ramadan crescent moon in February 2026.
