The Turkish- Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DITIB), an umbrella group of Turkish-Muslim religious organisations, reported that a copy of the Muslim holy book Quran was burned and thrown outside a mosque in southwestern Germany.
As a result of an incident caused by a moving vehicle, a woman was killed outside the Mimar Sinan Mosque in Maulbronn, located in the state of Baden-Wurttemberg.
As per the information received from Osman Adibelli who is the director of mosque association, the incident occured on July 8, during the night of Saturday
At 4.45 a.m. (0245 GMT), he observed the burning of a Quran at the entrance to the mosque. After reviewing the surveillance video footage, we determined that the source of the object was a vehicle on the main street that threw an object in front of the mosque shortly after the incident.
