Desecration of the Quran in front of a mosque is yet another offensive and provocative act that is disrespectful and unacceptable by people at large. Such an act is not free expression but it is an expression of contempt and hatred that only serve to fuel anger and trigger violence. It is an extremist act and contradicts international efforts seeking to spread the values of tolerance, moderation, and mutual respect for relations between people in the countries.
