Roblox, the popular virtual world platform, is no longer accessible in Qatar amid concerns that its content conflicts with Islamic values and child safety standards.
While the app remains downloadable via app stores, users attempting to open it encounter “No Network” errors, and the web version displays “This site can’t be reached.”
Reports from Ooni noted “access anomalies” beginning at 7:32 AM local time on August 13. Qatar has not officially confirmed the restriction, but social media activity suggests public pressure influenced the decision.
Roblox has drawn criticism worldwide for exposing minors to inappropriate content and unsafe interactions, prompting advocacy groups to call for stricter regulations.
China, Turkey, and Oman have already blocked access to the platform for similar reasons.

We need the details of the reasons why it has been banned. So l as a mother can explain to my kids.
Jazakillah khayran.
The government cited risks from online chat interactions with strangers, inappropriate user-generated content that isn’t suitable for kids, and past violations that occurred on the platform. As a mom, you should explain to the kids that this decision was made to protect them from potential online predators and unsuitable content, just like how China, Turkey, and Oman have also restricted the game. While it’s disappointing, there are plenty of other safe games they can enjoy, and this shows our government cares about keeping children safe online. The main issue was that anyone could create content and chat with kids, which created too many risks for young players.
