MAKKAH: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia has directed pilgrims to perform the Umrah only once during Ramadan 2023 (1444) to make space for other pilgrims performing it for the first time.
This step was taken to give equal opportunity to those visiting the holy city to easily perform Umrah.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah also stressed that the pilgrims must take a permit from Nusuk to perform Umrah. Without the permit, they will not be able to enter mataf area.
Pilgrims cannot change the Umrah date, and they have to delete the appointment on the Nusuk app and then take a new date if they wish to.
The Islamic Information also told the readers that the Umrah is fully booked for the starting 13 days of Ramadan 1444.
