ISLAMABAD — The Federal Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that the collection of applications for the government Hajj scheme is ongoing and will continue until August 16, 2025 unless the quota is filled earlier.
According to the ministry’s spokesperson, 91,300 applications have so far been submitted through the official online portal and designated banks. The remaining seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and the collection process will be halted immediately once all seats are filled.
Under the 2026 government Hajj scheme, pilgrims can choose between a 40-day-long package or a 25-day short package. Applicants are required to pay a first installment of Rs. 500,000 for the short package or Rs. 550,000 for the long package at the time of submission. The second installment will be collected from November 1.
The ministry also confirmed that Pakistani passport holders residing abroad are eligible to apply, expanding accessibility for the diaspora community.
Authorities have urged intending pilgrims to submit their applications promptly to secure a place, noting that the demand for seats remains high.
