This rare and stunning sight has captured the attention of residents and visitors alike, as the usually barren region now flourishes with vegetation.

The rainfall, which lasted for days, brought much-needed moisture to the desert landscape, allowing plants to thrive and cover the mountains in greenery.

Social media users shared images and videos of the unexpected change, expressing awe at the natural beauty.

Meteorologists have reported that the rainstorms were part of a seasonal weather pattern that occasionally brings rain to the area.

The transformation of the mountains is expected to last as long as the cooler weather persists, providing a refreshing contrast to the typical desert scenery. Previously, Makkah was on Red Alert due to severe thunderstorms.

“The Last Hour will not come before wealth becomes abundant and overflowing, so much so that a man takes Zakat out of his property and cannot find anyone to accept it from him and till the land of Arabia reverts to meadows and rivers.”

Sahih Muslim 157c (Book 12, Hadith 76)

For locals and pilgrims visiting Makkah, the sight of green-covered mountains adds a unique and picturesque backdrop to the holy city.
