On Tuesday, his family reported that prominent Pakistani religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel had suffered a heart attack in Canada.
In a Tweet, Yusuf Jameel confirmed that his father had suffered a heart attack in Canada and had been transferred to a hospital.
The scholar’s condition has improved, and Yusuf has requested that the nation prays for his well-being.
“My father suffered chest pain and issues at 1:00 PM Pakistan time today, around 3:00 AM in Canada. He was immediately shifted to a hospital. As a result of his (medical) procedures, all are thankfully successful,” he said in a video message posted on his official YouTube channel.
As of right now, he is doing well and stable, but he is still being treated at the hospital. The fact that we (his family) are here and he is not at home concerns us. We ask that you all pray for his health,” he said.
In addition, the son requested that social media users refrain from spreading health-related rumors about his father.
Waseem Badami, a television anchor in Toronto, reported that the scholar underwent successful surgery earlier today and is currently observed in the hospital’s critical care unit (CCU).
The religious scholar’s event was postponed to December 28 by the NGO Islamic Relief Canada.
Due to Molana’s health, today’s event with Tariq Jamil has been postponed to December 28th.
