The Two Holy Mosques will host Istisqa prayers tomorrow, 27th November 2024 (26 Jumada Al Awwal 1446), in response to the tradition of seeking rain through supplication.

At Masjid Al Haram in Makkah, Sheikh Maher Al Muaiqly will lead the prayers, while Sheikh Khalid Al Muhanna will preside over them at Masjid An Nabawi in Madinah.

Time

  • Masjid al Haram (Grand Mosque): 6:55 AM
  • Masjid an Nabawi (Prophet’s Mosque) 7:00 AM.

Istisqa prayer is a Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), is performed during times of drought or when rain is needed.

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has encouraged Muslims worldwide to join in this spiritual act by offering similar prayers and seeking forgiveness, as reliance on Allah is central to the practice.

Worshipers attending the Two Holy Mosques are reminded to arrive early to facilitate smooth entry and to participate in the prayer.
