RIYADH — Weather conditions in Makkah and Madinah during the upcoming Hajj season were forecast by the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).
Makkah’s climate is expected to be relatively hot and dry during the daytime and moderate at night, with an average maximum temperature of 43.6 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 29.6 degrees Celsius.
According to the NCM, the average wind speed will be between four and ten kilometers per hour in a north-northwest direction, which will cause dust storms and reduce horizontal visibility.
Madinah’s climate is expected to be hot and dry during the day and moderate at night, with an average maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 29.3 degrees Celsius during the Hajj season.
As per the center, wind speeds will average 12 km/h, with gusts occurring in a northwest to western direction at times, causing dust storms and inducing a decrease in horizontal visibility.
