The Royal Commission for Makkah City and the Holy Sites has completed preparations at the designated Miqat entry points ahead of the 1447 AH Hajj season. The work is part of a wider operational system designed to improve services and movement for pilgrims.

CEO Engineer Saleh bin Ibrahim Al-Rasheed said total prayer capacity across Miqat sites now exceeds 6,600 spaces for men and around 3,200 for women. Thousands of parking spaces and hundreds of restrooms, built to high operational standards, have also been provided.

The drinking water system at the Wadi Mahram Miqat has been fully rehabilitated. At the Al-Sayl Al-Kabir Miqat, a central heating system has been activated covering more than 900 restrooms.

Over 230 surveillance cameras have been installed across the Miqat locations and at mosques in the area surrounding the Kaaba.

Wayfinding and Services

A signage project has been put in place to guide pilgrims and mark routes clearly. Field work sites have been handed over to participating operational teams, and seasonal service kiosks have been set up at a number of locations across the sites.
