Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, through its Madinah branch, has launched the “Zad al-Hajj” course at Quba Mosque — starting Wednesday, 6 May 2026, and running until the end of the Islamic month of Dhu al-Qa’dah 1447 AH.
The course is part of the ministry’s operational plan for the Hajj 1447 season, designed to educate pilgrims on the correct performance of Hajj rites.
What the Course Covers
The programme includes 36 scholarly lessons delivered by a select group of scholars. Topics span Hajj rulings, interpretation of Quranic verses on pilgrimage, and the virtues of righteous deeds.
Lessons also cover Islamic monotheism (Tawhid), the sanctity of Islamic rites, and explanations of classical scholarly texts — all aimed at building a sound religious understanding among pilgrims before they begin their rituals.
Who It Targets
The course is aimed at over 200,000 pilgrims visiting Quba Mosque. Content is designed to be accessible across different languages and cultures, with lesson times organised to fit around pilgrims’ existing schedules.
This structure ensures the largest possible number of pilgrims can attend without disrupting their itineraries.
