Palestinians prayed Funeral prayers at the Al Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem for the victims of powerful earthquakes that killed thousands in Turkey and Syria.
According to an Anadolu reporter, hundreds of worshippers attended the prayers on Monday.
According to the country’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck southeastern Turkey early Monday, killing at least 1,498 people and injuring 8,533 others.
According to figures from the Syrian regime’s Health Ministry and Syrian Civil Defense, the earthquake killed at least 783 people and injured hundreds more in Syria.
According to AFAD, the earthquake occurred at 4.17 a.m. (0117 GMT) and was centered in the Pazarcik district of Turkey’s southern province of Kahramanmaras.
