The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Minister Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh has directed that all designated Eid prayer grounds across the Kingdom will hold the Eid Al-Fitr prayer 15 minutes after sunrise.
Eid al-Fitr 2025 in Saudi Arabia is most likely to be celebrated on either March 30 or March 31, 2025, pending the official moon sighting. The Eid prayer at Masjid al-Haram will be led by Sheikh Sudais approximately 15 minutes after sunrise (around 06:30AM Saudi time). The prayer leader for Masjid an-Nabawi is Abdulllah Buayjaan.
Eid prayer time (15 minutes after sunrise), sunrise in Makkah happens at 06:15 AM, hence Eid prayer time (sunrise + 15 minutes) will be at 06:30 AM Saudi time.
In areas where residents traditionally use local Eid prayer grounds, those mosques adjacent to these centers or in certain villages and towns will not hold the prayer, allowing locals to use their familiar spaces.
Currently, there are 19,887 mosques and prayer grounds across the Kingdom, all of which have been fully prepared to meet the highest quality standards. These efforts aim to create a spiritually uplifting environment that enhances the communal celebration of Eid.
