Anas Al Razqi, a 26-year-old Belgian cyclist, has completed a remarkable three-month journey by bicycle, arriving in Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj 2025.
Starting his trip at the beginning of Ramadan in March, Al Razqi traveled solo across 13 countries, including Austria, Germany, Italy, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, enduring changing climates and rugged terrain.
He crossed into the Kingdom via the Halat Ammar border crossing near Jordan, expressing deep emotion as he spoke to Saudi television channel Al Ekhbariya:
“This is a dream. I didn’t believe I would be in Mecca. I feel blessed to have arrived in the Kingdom.”
In an interview with Saudi news outlet Sabq, Al Razqi highlighted the role of support from people along the way:
“They kept me going… I felt I was approaching a dream I’ve cherished for years. Now, I just want to reach the closest point to the Kaaba and see it for the first time.”
The journey was both a spiritual mission and a test of endurance, as Al Razqi cycled across mountains, plains, and urban centers, all in pursuit of a sacred goal.
