Bahraini Parliament member Hamad Al Doy is preparing a bill to ban the online platform Roblox, citing dangers to children’s safety and conflicts with religious values.
Weeks after Qatar implemented a similar prohibition, with both Gulf nations highlighting concerns over predatory behavior and exposure to un-Islamic content.
Al Doy confirmed he is coordinating with government agencies to swiftly advance the legislation.

Growing backlash against Roblox, a recent Louisiana lawsuit alleged the platform enables predators to “thrive, unite, hunt and victimize kids,” as reported by CNN.
Roblox allows users to create and play games within a virtual universe, has faced global scrutiny over inadequate child safeguards.
Bahrain’s law requires internet service providers to block Roblox once enacted.
