Pilgrims and regular visitors to Masjid an‑Nabawi can now reserve parking spots in advance thanks to a new digital service launched by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
The Mawgif app allows users to book and pay for spaces in a vast underground garage directly beneath the Prophet’s Mosque, eliminating the traditional scramble for parking in one of Islam’s busiest sites.

The garage spans two levels, with 11 zones on the upper tier and 13 below, offering 4,300 total spaces. Six entry and exit ramps connect the facility to main roads around the mosque, ensuring smooth traffic flow.
Visitors simply download the Mawgif app—available for both iOS, Huawei and Android—register their vehicle by plate number, fund their in‑app wallet, and choose from hourly, monthly, or annual passes.
Payment is handled entirely within the app, removing the need for cash transactions.
Officials say the new system will greatly reduce congestion around the mosque and give worshipers one less concern when planning their visits.
The Ministry has promoted Mawgif as the official parking solution, managed under its supervision to guarantee reliability and security.
Security cameras, live monitoring, and digital signage within the garage guide drivers to open spots.
Users receive real‑time updates on space availability, and staff are on‑site around the clock to assist with any issues.
