As Eid al Adha is approaching, everyone is concerned about the sacrifice. But then some people are confused because they have financial issues.
We have got a similar question:
Question: I am facing financial problems and cannot sacrifice animals this year. Shall I take a loan to do it, or am I free to skip the sacrifice until my financial problems are solved?
Answer: First of all, Sacrificing an Animal is wajib (mandatory) only for those who have enough to buy an animal and sacrifice it. If you can take part (Some services give cow share or goat share), if you can afford that, you can take it also, but if you can’t afford that either, then you can skip it until your financial problems are solved.
And keep one thing in mind, Sacrificing an animal is not fard (except for those who have enough to do it).
As far as a loan is concerned, you cannot take a loan just to sacrifice an animal as it will put you in more financial problems, so refrain from taking it just for this reason.
