The Presidency of Religious Affairs at Masjid an-Nabawi (Prophet’s Mosque), through the Iqraa Sheikhdom at Masjid an-Nabawi (Prophet’s Mosque), is running its Summer Iqraa Programme for men and women from 28 June to 30 July 2026 in Madinah.
The five-week programme is held in person at Masjid an-Nabawi (Prophet’s Mosque) and is open to both men and women. Instruction is provided by specialist Quran teachers, covering Quranic recitation and Tajweed under the authority of the Iqraa Sheikhdom.
Program Registration Requirements
Applicants wishing to join the Qur'an Recitation (Iqra) Program at Masjid an-Nabawi will be required to provide the following information:
- Open to both Men and Women
- Only Saudi citizens and Foreign residents in Saudi Arabia with a valid Iqama can apply.
- National ID Number or Iqama (Residence Permit) Number
- Classes all week long
- Venue: Masjid an-Nabawi
- Purpose: To help participants improve Qur'an recitation and Tajweed under qualified instructors.

Those wishing to join can apply at eqraa-sa.org/apply/1. The registration form asks for full name, mobile number, national ID or residency number, nationality, date of birth, gender, any prior Ijazah, and preferred days of attendance from Sunday through Saturday.
What the Programme Covers
The Iqraa Programme is part of the Presidency's wider offering of Quranic and educational programmes at Masjid an-Nabawi (Prophet's Mosque), aimed at enabling participants to learn and master Quran recitation with a connected chain of transmission going back to the Prophet ﷺ.
