Saeed Aal-Zuhayr, the muadhin of Masjid al-Rajhi in Makkah, has been assigned to give the adhan at two key sites during Hajj 2026.

Masjid Namira Duties

Aal-Zuhayr will begin his assignment at Masjid Namira in Arafat from Fajr on the 5th of Dhul Hijjah. His primary role there is to give the adhan for the combined and shortened Dhuhr and Asr prayers on the Day of Arafah — the 9th of Dhul Hijjah — which is the central act of the Hajj pilgrimage.

At Masjid Namira, the Dhuhr and Asr prayers are combined and shortened, performed with one adhan and two iqamas.

Masjid al-Khaif Duties

After Arafah, Aal-Zuhayr moves to Masjid al-Khaif in Mina. His duties there run from Fajr on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah — the Day of Sacrifice — through to Dhuhr on the 13th of Dhul Hijjah, covering the Ayyam al-Tashreeq, the days pilgrims spend in Mina stoning the Jamarat.
