The General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque (Masjid al Haram) and the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid an Nabawi) has issued new regulations about iftar meal services during Ramadan, banning all promotional or advertising activities within the holy premises.

All entities and individuals seeking to distribute iftar must obtain official permits and adhere to strict health and safety.

Permit applicants must be legally registered organizations with approved meal distribution plans.

The Authority emphasized that serving iftar is a religious act of hospitality—not a branding opportunity.

All meal providers must avoid logos, banners, product placements, or any form of marketing during distribution. Designated areas and times will be enforced to maintain order and reverence.

Violations will result in immediate written warnings for first offenses and permit revocation for repeat offenders.

The Authority retains the right to cancel permits at any time if conditions are breached, including distributing unapproved food items or transferring permits illegally.
