Saudi Arabia has its largest-ever Hajj operational plan, leveraging advanced AI and smart technologies to enhance services for millions of Hajj pilgrims.
The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque announced the initiative, which focuses entirely on pilgrim needs through digital innovation and multilingual support.
Central to the plan is the debut of “Manarah 2”—a multilingual AI robot guiding pilgrims in real time—and interactive smart screens placed across holy sites to provide instant updates in over 20 languages.

A new Digital Quran Platform will offer global access to recitation resources, while the Surat Al-Fatiha App breaks down the Quran’s opening chapter in multiple languages for deeper spiritual engagement.
Dr. Abdulrahman Al Sudais, Head of Religious Affairs, stressed the plan’s foundation in “compassion and prophetic teachings.” He noted the technologies aim to simplify rituals, reduce crowding, and foster tranquility.
Specialized programs will also address diverse cultural and educational needs of pilgrims.
The builds on Saudi Arabia’s push to blend tradition with cutting-edge tech, ensuring Hajj remains accessible yet spiritually profound.
With AI managing crowd flow and apps delivering tailored guidance, officials aim to set new benchmarks in pilgrimage safety and enrichment.
