Guide of the Two Holy Mosques, Sheikh Mustafa Al-Dabbagh, Passes Away

Makkah and Madinah mourn the loss of Sheikh Mustafa Al-Dabbagh, a man cherished by pilgrims and worshippers at the Sacred Mosques.

Known for his selfless service, Sheikh Al-Dabbagh dedicated his life to guiding and assisting those visiting the House of Allah, earning widespread respect and love.

His presence was a familiar and comforting sight for countless visitors. Whether in the tawaf area around the Kaaba or along the path between Safa and Marwa, Sheikh Al-Dabbagh tirelessly corrected pilgrims’ practices, reminded them of proper etiquette, and educated them on the Sunnahs of performing Hajj and Umrah.

From advising someone on the correct positioning of their ihram to gently guiding others on proper rituals, he sought only to please Allah by helping His worshippers.

Many of his thoughtful suggestions, such as placing shoe bags at the entrances to the Haram, were adopted by the administration, leaving a lasting legacy of his practical wisdom.

Sheikh Al-Dabbagh was a man of humility, generosity, and piety, admired not only for his knowledge but also for his ascetic lifestyle. Known to many as “The Ascetic Sheikh,” his life was an embodiment of dedication to serving others and worshipping Allah.

The loss of Sheikh Mustafa Al-Dabbagh is deeply felt by those who knew him and by the wider community of believers who benefited from his guidance. His deeds are a testament to his unwavering faith and commitment to the service of Islam.

May Allah forgive him, have mercy on him, and accept his good deeds. May He grant Sheikh Mustafa Al-Dabbagh a spacious grave, pardon his shortcomings, and reward him for his tireless service to the pilgrims of Makkah and Madinah.
