Sheikh Abdul Muhsin Al Qasim, the renowned Imam of Masjid an Nabawi in Medina, is visiting Zambia for a series of religious events.
He has arrived in Lusaka, Zambia and is scheduled for Saturday, September 28th, 2024, where he will be participating in key activities in Lusaka.
The Sheikh will begin his visit by leading the Fajr prayer at Al-Ummah Mosque in Lusaka at 5:15 a.m. Following the prayer, he will address the congregation and the broader audience at Madrasatu Ummah at 9:00 a.m., offering words of guidance and inspiration.
One of the highlights of Sheikh Abdul Muhsin Al Qasim’s visit will be his role as the special guest of honor at the 13th Zambia National Hifazul Quran Competition and the 3rd Qiraat Sabah Competition, both of which will be held at the Makei Islamic Society Trust Hall in Lusaka.
These prestigious events, which celebrate the memorization and recitation of the Holy Quran, will showcase the talents of participants competing in the Riwaayah of Warsh and Qaloon.
The final session of the competitions will take place after Maghrib Salah, followed by the prize distribution ceremony to honor the top performers.
The event is expected to draw a large number of attendees, including scholars, community leaders, and Quran enthusiasts from across Zambia.

His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Abdulmohsen bin Muhammad Al-Qasim, the Imam and khatib of the Prophet’s Mosque, honored the winners of the 13th Zambia International Competition for Memorizing and Reciting the Holy Quran.
This event took place on the evening of Saturday, 24/3/1446 AH, at the Islamic University in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia.
The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Youssef Ibrahim, the President of the University, along with several prominent Islamic figures.
This year’s competition saw participation from numerous countries and attracted a significant turnout of Quran memorizers from around the world.
