The 1447 AH Umrah season officially begins today, 11 June 2025, with Saudi Arabia opening visa issuance for international pilgrims and launching digital permits through the Nusuk application.
This move restores uninterrupted access to Masjid al-Haram, as previous entry blackout periods into Makkah have been removed.
International worshipers may now apply for Umrah visas through approved channels and receive their permits instantly on Nusuk.
The removal of entry restrictions marks a return to year-round Umrah access for international pilgrims.
Pilgrims without Nusuk permits or valid visas will be turned away at checkpoints to maintain crowd control.
Local officials have urged worshipers to download the Nusuk app, complete registration, and plan their journeys according to the digital permit schedule.
By digitizing the permit process and lifting travel barriers, Saudi Arabia aims to modernize its pilgrimage services and support the spiritual needs of millions of Muslims.
The 1447 AH Umrah season sets a new standard for efficiency, safety, and convenience at Islam’s holiest sites.
