8 am to 5 pm (including a one-hour lunch break) is the standard working hours in Saudi Arabia.

From 15th June to 15th September every year, the outside labor force will not be working under the sun from 12 pm to 3 pm.

Working Hours in Saudi Arabia (2022)

  • Bank Employees: 9:30 am to 4:30 pm
  • Jawazat: 7 am to 3 pm
  • Private Sector: 8 am to 5 pm

Work Ban From 12 pm to 3 pm

The Ministry of Labor and Social Development abbounced this in their ministerial decision No. 3337, which prohibits working in the sun from 12 noon to 3 pm from 15th June to September.

Any firm that is found to be violating the rule will be fined SR 10,000.
