Faisal mosque sealed for not following SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) during Friday prayers by Islamabad authorities.
The remaining prayers will be held outside the mosque as the authorities have sealed off the mosque.
The Pakistani government has released the Coronavirus SOPs to curb the virus’s spread in the capital city, Islamabad.
Previously, Government officials have urged the country’s religious heads to ensure the following of sOPs in MOsques and religious institutions. In contrast, many mosques and religious institutes never followed SOPS despite being told repeatedly.
President of Pakistan Arif Alvi allowed mosques to have a proper prayer in mosques and imambargahs all across Pakistan by following the SOPs. He issued the SOPs after discussion with 86 scholars from different schools of thought in Pakistan.
The coronavirus cases in Pakistan have increased by 416,000 and the rate is growing again rapidly. There has been an increase of 7.2 percent in the coronavirus cases in Pakistan.
