MAKKAH: Two world’s largest cooling stations started at Masjid al-Haram (Grand Mosque) are ready to serve worshippers and Pilgrims during Ramadan 2021.

The first station is called Ajyad, producing 35,300 tons of refrigeration, of which 24,500 are being used, and the second station has the capacity of 120,000 tons of refrigeration. This station will keep all the facilities at the Grand Mosque cool.

Dr. Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques also makes backup cooling stations next to these two largest cooling stations, just in case of malfunction, the purity of air won’t be disturbed.

General Department for Operation and Maintenance of the Grand Mosque will take care of the cleaning of filters of these cooling stations.
