Tough times ahead…

The people of Gaza are facing unimaginable situations as the holy month of Ramadan approaches. This year, they have to face some unimaginable situations.

1. Escalating Conflict and Military Offensive

The ongoing Israeli war on Gaza has intensified, which will further fuel the plans for a military offensive in Gaza. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu also publically said to “Finish the job” in Gaza, refusing international calls and protests for a ceasefire in Gaza.

The situation remains dangerous as the lives of innocent civilians hang in the balance.

2. Threats to Palestinian Refugees

As Palestinian children sleep in chicken cages in Rafah, Palestinian refugees have no home to go back to.

Rafah, a city in the south of Gaza is facing a harsh Israeli ground raid. Thousands of Palestinians came to Rafah after Israel called it a “safe zone” while bombing the rest of the region. Now, as Ramadan is approaching, the Israeli military is backing their bags to even bomb and invade Rafah city at the start of Ramadan 2024.

3. Hostages

Retired General Benny Gantz has said that if Israeli hostages are not freed, they will turn Rafah upside down, showing a way that how worse situation can get in Rafah, which also means that innocent Palestinians including children will lose their lives.

4. Historical Tensions During Ramadan

Ramadan is historically a tense time in Palestine due to political turmoil and humanitarian crises.

Israel each year bans the entry of Muslims to Al-Aqsa Mosque for prayers and as a result of this decision, protests erupt against the Israeli regime and to put rest to these protests, Israel started beating, arresting or even firing the Muslim protesters.

This year, Israel continues to do the same for Muslims.

5. Humanitarian Concerns

Israeli airstrikes have caused a large number of civilian causalities, including women and children. Palestinians have not just lost their homes but also their loved ones. In some cases, the entire families have lost their lives, which had nothing to do with the war.

Despite this, the international community stands still and brands continue to support Israeli aggression towards the people of Gaza.
