RIYADH – The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced an update related to the PCR report for the entry procedures for pilgrims to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah and visit.

It stated that all visitors from outside Saudi Arabia are required to submit a negative PCR test or a negative antigen test 48 hours before their departure, irrespective of their immunization status.

According to the ministry, the updated procedures will be effective as of 1 am on Wednesday, Rajab 8, 1443 A.H., which corresponds to February 9, 2022.

The Saudi Arabian government has announced earlier Wednesday, Feb. 9 that new travel restrictions will begin.

As a result of the continuous monitoring of the epidemiological situation locally and globally and as part of the Kingdom’s efforts to combat Covid 19 and preserve public health, new restrictions have been introduced.
