Saudi Arabia to revolutionize transportation for Umrah pilgrims with the introduction of electric air taxis.
The Kingdom has signed a significant deal with German aviation company Lilium to purchase 100 electric aircraft.
This includes 50 confirmed aircraft and an option for an additional 50, with the first deliveries scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.
The air taxis to open new air routes to Makkah during the Hajj and Umrah seasons. This will make the travel easy for pilgrims.
