Nasser bin Radan Al Rashid Al Wadaei, acknowledged as Saudi Arabia’s oldest man, has died at the reported age of 142.
Funeral prayers were held in Dhahran Al Janoub in the Kingdom’s southern region, attended by more than 7,000 people, before his burial in his home village of Al Rashid.
Born before the nation’s unification, Al Wadaei lived under the rule of every monarch from King Abdulaziz to King Salman, witnessing profound societal transformations.
He was widely known for his deep piety, having performed the Hajj pilgrimage more than forty times according to family members.
Al Wadaei’s personal life was remarkable; he is survived by 134 children and grandchildren. He reportedly entered his final marriage at the age of 110 and later had a daughter.
News of his passing resonated strongly on Saudi social media platforms, where many users commemorated him as a national figure of endurance and devotion.
