The insurance policy for Hajj and Umrah is a unified policies that is covered by those who come to carry out the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage from outside Saudi Arabia. It is useful in cases of emergency for pilgrims while in the Kingdom such as hospitalization, emergency childbirth, including death to returning the body of the deceased to its home country.

During the opening ceremony of the “Hajj Expo 2023” conference and exhibition in Jeddah on Tuesday, January 10, Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq F Al Rabiah, also said that the Umrah visa duration was extended from 30 days to 90 days starting from the day of entering the Kingdom.
Furthermore, Al Rabiah explained that starting this year all Hajj missions could contract with any licensed company in Saudi Arabia. This is different from previous years, which were limited to only a few selected companies.
Previously the Minister of Hajj had announced that the Hajj quota for 1444 H/2023 M would return to normal as in 2019, or before the COVID-19 period.
He emphasized that all ages can depart for the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages, including pilgrims over 65 years of age who were previously banned.
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is organizing the Hajj Expo 2023 event from 9-12 January 2023 with the aim of building an ecosystem of services and innovative solutions in providing better services to pilgrims while enhancing their worship and cultural experience.
