Pakistan set its 25-day government Hajj package for 2026 at Rs1,150,000–1,250,000 (~$4,050–4,236), the Religious Affairs Ministry confirmed Friday.

The ministry said designated bank branches will remain open on Saturday, August 9 to receive Hajj application forms and first installment payments.

Pakistan’s total Hajj quota for 2026 remains unchanged at 179,210 places. Of that figure, 129,210 seats are reserved under the government scheme; the remainder is available to private tour operators.

Officials announced that over 58,000 requests have been filed by potential pilgrims seeking participation.

Applicants may submit forms and initial payments either online or at the 14 banks authorized by the State Bank of Pakistan, which issued instructions to the lenders following a ministry request.

Registration and deposits are being handled on a first-come, first-served basis; the ministry said a second installment of Hajj dues will be collected beginning in November.

Officials noted that Saudi authorities granted Pakistan the same quota last year. In 2025 the government program filled its full allocation of over 88,000 pilgrims, but a huge number of pilgrims were unable to perform Hajj 2025 due to Pakistani Hajj operators were unable to submit the payment at the due date.

The ministry urged applicants to use official channels and to confirm bank branch details before visiting.

It also reminded registered pilgrims that both long packages (38–42 days) and short packages (20–25 days) remain available under the government scheme, with costs varying by duration and services included.
